Peter began his career in the early 70s, solely in the service aspect of the appliance business. Then, in the early 80s, when Calder TV and Appliances became available, he purchased the company offering both retail, and service, on major appliances to his customers in Hamilton and the surrounding area. “It is the service aspect of our business that has helped us develop a real niche in the market.”
Since 1981, almost 20 independent appliance retailers have left the marketplace in Hamilton, however, with Peter Martin’s commitment to quality in all areas, especially customer satisfaction, his business has expanded to a huge new showroom at 140 Hester Street with 10 Custom Kitchens and 100s of appliances.
